The insurance applies within the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan stated in the policy. The insurance period runs from the date the cargo enters the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan until the date it leaves that territory.
Exclusions include intentional acts, intoxication of the driver or an employee, gross violation of traffic rules, operation of a technically defective vehicle, transport of smuggled or illegally imported cargo, failure to comply with the rules for transporting, handling and storing cargo, war, civil unrest, strikes, confiscation, seizure, terrorism, sabotage, nuclear explosion and radiation.
The sum insured, the rate and the amount of the unconditional deductible are not standardised: they are set individually for each contract based on the route, the nature of the cargo and the volume of transport. The premium is paid in a single payment within five banking days after the contract is signed, and if payment is more than thirty calendar days late the contract may be annulled as not having taken effect.
Notify the insurer immediately, but no later than seventy-two hours, and send a written statement within five calendar days. The amount of damage is established by a licensed assessor. If the documents are not submitted within three calendar months, the event may not be recognised as insured. A refusal decision is communicated no later than fifteen days after all documents have been received, and the indemnity is paid within fifteen days from the date the insured event report is signed.
