Total to pay:

The warranty covers defects. The policy covers coffee, drops, theft

Covered risks

The four risks that most often put a laptop out of service. Outside Uzbekistan the policy does not apply.

Liquid on the keyboard

Coffee, tea or water inside the case, full or partial immersion.

Drops and impact

The laptop fell off a desk or out of a bag, was struck, or animals got to it.

Power surge, fire and explosion

A board burned out from the mains, ignition or spontaneous ignition.

Theft, robbery and armed robbery

Theft from a bag or in a café, wilful damage, hooliganism.

When an event is recognised as an insured event

Conditions that are checked

The insurer decides on the documents and the opinion of an authorised service centre.

The event took place in Uzbekistan

The territory of insurance is the Republic of Uzbekistan, and only that.

The circumstances are established

The cause of the damage is known and confirmed by documents.

Theft reported within 24 hours

A report to the law enforcement authorities within 24 hours. A laptop left freely accessible is not covered.

The laptop can be identified

The serial number is legible and matches the policy. Erased or altered — a refusal.

The damage affects performance

Cosmetic scratches, chips and cracks that do not affect performance are not covered.

It is not a warranty case

A manufacturing defect is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, not by the policy.

From purchase to repair

Five steps to a paid-for repair

The “Purchase Protection” policy gives you back a working machine rather than compensation after the fact.

  1. 1 Purchase and policy on the same day The make, model, serial number and the receipt price go into the policy.
  2. 2 A year of cover across Uzbekistan 365 days from 00:00 on the day after payment. The premium is a single instalment.
  3. 3 One day to file Spilled it, dropped it, had it stolen — 24 hours to file the claim. For theft and fire, the competent authorities too.
  4. 4 The service centre’s opinion Do not open it or repair it yourself: the centre decides — repair or total loss.
  5. 5 Payment made directly The insurer pays the centre for the repair or the supplier for a new device.

A 3% rate and the limits of cover

A year of cover — from 45 000 UZS

The sum insured is the value of the laptop on the receipt, and the premium is 3% of it. This is not “all risks”: the policy covers a closed list of five groups of events.

Three price anchors

A laptop at 3–4 million UZS 105 000 UZS
A laptop at 4–5 million UZS 135 000 UZS
A laptop at 9–10 million UZS 285 000 UZS

The minimum is 45 000 UZS, the maximum sum insured is 30 000 000 UZS. A specialist will calculate the exact premium from your receipt.

No small print

20% unconditional deductible

20% of the damage for each event is your share. A repair of 2 000 000 UZS: the policy pays 1 600 000.

No cash is handed over

The funds go to the service centre for the repair or to the supplier or manufacturer for a new device — the insurer’s choice.

What stays outside the cover

Scratches and scuffs that do not hinder performance. Wear and corrosion. A manufacturing defect is the warranty’s area. A laptop left freely accessible.

What matters to know in advance

Six conditions on the policyholder’s side — the payout depends on them.

  • Follow the manufacturer’s manual and keep the laptop safe.
  • Do not leave it freely accessible: locked doors and windows.
  • Report to the competent authorities within 24 hours.
  • Turn only to an authorised service centre.
  • Keep the receipt and the warranty card for the whole policy term.
  • Do not open, repair or upgrade it yourself; keep the serial number legible.

What you need to take out a policy

Documents and details

The policy is issued on the day of purchase. You need a passport, a receipt and the laptop details.

An identity document

The policyholder’s passport or ID card. The policy is issued to an individual.

A cash receipt or warranty card

It confirms the purchase date: the policy is issued on the day of payment, no earlier and no later.

Make, model and serial number

Check that the serial number on the case is legible.

The value in the seller’s documents

The sum insured equals the laptop price: from 1 000 000 to 30 000 000 UZS.

A brand-new device

Second-hand laptops and accessories are not accepted for insurance.

One item per policy

Each laptop is a separate contract. The premium is paid once for the whole term.

What to do if something happens to your laptop

One day for the first steps

The first 24 hours decide whether the event is recognised as insured. After that — the service centre’s opinion and the documents.

1

Contact the competent authorities

Within 24 hours: theft — the law enforcement authorities, fire — the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a power surge — the electricity supplier.

2

Submit a claim to the insurer

In writing, also within 24 hours. Documents can be sent through the website, the app or email.

3

Hand the laptop over to an authorised service centre

Do not open the case or repair it yourself: traces of repair and broken seals forfeit the right to a payout.

4

Gather the documents

The policy, a passport, the warranty card, at least three photographs of the damage and the original opinion of the centre.

5

Wait for the decision and the payout

The decision — up to 10 working days, the insurance act — 3 working days, the payout — 10 working days from the date of the act.
